School "Modern Aspects of Dynamical Systems" - 20-24 July 2020

 [expired]

This is the first announcement of the school

“Modern Aspects of Dynamical Systems”

organized by Fondazione CIME to be held in Cetraro (Cosenza, Italy) in the period 20-24 July 2020. The venue of the school will be Grand Hotel San Michele.

The school is directed by Claudio Bonanno (Università di Pisa), Alfonso Sorrentino (Università di Roma “Tor Vergata”) and Corinna Ulcigrai (Universität Zürich).

The school will consist of the following courses:

  • Manfred Einsiedler: “Homogeneous dynamics and Diophantine approximation”
  • Giovanni Forni: “Effective ergodic theory for translation flows”
  • Vadim Kaloshin: “Integrability and rigidity for convex billiards”
  • Tere M-Seara: “Exponentially small phenomena and its role in the dynamics”
  • Jasmin Raissy: “Holomorphic dynamics”

Applications will be managed directly by Fondazione CIME through its website. Applications open on December 1st, 2019 and close on April 30th, 2020.

Winter school: Implicit Function Theorems in Geometry and Dynamics

 [expired]

Announcement of the Winter School:

Implicit function theorems in Geometry and Dynamics

which will take place on

February 19 - 22, 2020

at Schloss Rauischholzhausen, a castle which is the congress hotel of the University of Gießen  https://schloss.faber-management.de/.

The aim of the school is to present to master and PhD students two incarnations of the implicit function theorem that have strong influences on contemporary research, namely the implicit function theorem of Nash and Moser, and the implicit function theorem in scale calculus and polyfold-theory as developed by Hofer, Wysocki and Zehnder.
