Prof. Michael Yampolsky (University of Toronto Mississauga) will give a series of 4 lectures on “Computability and Computational Complexity Questions in Dynamics” at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. The lectures will take place on Thursdays October 24 and 31 and November 7 and 14, at 4:30 pm in Aula Volterra, Piazza dei Cavalieri 7.
The lectures can be also joined on Zoom at the address https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87262876317?pwd=VGUbIqzr97BVYmaj7a4vor7kamJgG1.1 and will be recorded and uploaded to the following folder: https://drive.
It is a pleasure to announce the beginning of the new online DAI Seminar series. The first meeting will take place on Wednesday May 8 at 4pm with two speakers and will last for 90 minutes. Please, save the date!
The format of the new series consists of two talks at each meeting and, after the first one, the next will take place on the first week of the months of February, April, June, October, and December.
From July 14-18, 2025, the Universität Heidelberg, Germany, will host a Workshop on Billiards and Quantitative Symplectic Geometry.
The workshop will bring together researchers working in dynamical systems, geometry, and symplectic methods, with a focus on the latest developments in billiard systems and their interplay with symplectic geometry.
The organizers especially encourage junior researchers to participate and apply for contributed talks (20-minute slots) to present their work.
See the page of the event for further details and registration.
The conference “Topological Methods for Nonlinear Analysis and Dynamical Systems” will take place on September 27th and 28th, 2024 at the University of Firenze, Italy. In addition to showcasing recent developments, the conference will honor Patrizia Pera’s retirement.
Participation in the conference is free, but registration is mandatory. To register please email: tmnads24@gmail.com.

The Ph.D. School in Mathematics of the University of Pisa will host a course on the ‘Dynamics of complex systems’ by Stefano Galatolo, Roberto Castorrini, Matteo Tanzi, and Bastien Fernandez. This course will be conducted in person, with the option of remote participation.
The first lecture will be held on April 12 at 11am (CET). The full schedule of the course is available at https://www.dm.unipi.it/phd/phd-course-details/?phd_course_id=653ca3e789ab3610aef2d90b.
At the same link one can find a full description of the course, a tentative list of contents, and the requested prerequisites.
In the second half of May and beginning of June 2024, there will be three events at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków related to dynamical systems:
On 20-24 May, a workshop on “Higher order Fourier analysis and combinatorial ergodic theory” with minicourses by Pablo Candela (Higher-order Fourier analysis) and Joel Morreira (Ergodic Ramsey theory). See https://www.fi.muni.cz/research/dimea/algomanet2024krakow.html.
On 27-31 May, a workshop on “Dynamics and number theory”, covering a variety of topics and offering an opportunity to give research talks for those who already have some research results.
The Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu-Paris Rive Gauche organizes a summer school on “Stability and rigidity in Dynamical Systems, beyond classical KAM theory”. It will take place on the Grands Moulins campus of the University Paris Cité from the 10th to the 21st of June 2024. The schedule and other information will be posted at: https://school2024-imjprg.sciencesconf.org/.
Interested Ph.D. students and young researchers are encouraged to register at the website. Accommodation is limited, so participants needing accommodation are urged to send the organizers a CV and a recommendation letter at their earliest convenience.
The next and eigth edition of our biennial workshop (a.k.a. DinAmicI VIII) will be a joint meeting with the Brazilian dynamics community and will take place at IMPA, Rio de Janeiro, on September 2-6, 2024. The title of the meeting will be DinAmicI in Rio, Dynamics, Applications, Interactions.
So save the dates, register at the website and consider proposing a poster!
