(BGSMATH-CRM center) is available under the supervision of G. Huguet and T. M. Seara (UPC, Barcelona). The goal is to study singular perturbation phenomena in a neuron-astrocyte model.

A two-year long research position in “Dynamical Systems" is available at the Centro di Ricerca Matematica Ennio De Giorgi in Pisa.
PhD students can also apply, provided they obtain their PhD no later than October 1st, 2019.
The total two-year gross remuneration, inclusive of all taxes, is € 66,590.00 for each contract, corresponding to a monthly salary of approximately 2,000 Euros. An additional yearly research allowance of 1,000 Euros for exchange visits is also provided.
Dr. Romualdo Pastor-Satorras is currently offering two postdoctoral positions to work in his research group in the fields of complex systems and complex networks. The positions are located at the Department of Physics of Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain.
The possible topics of research for the positions are the following:
Dynamical transitions in reaction-diffusion processes on complex networks
Dynamical processes in non-Markovian temporal networks
Topological and temporal fluctuations in networks
A School on Smooth Ergodic Theory and Partially Hyperbolic Systems is being organised at Loughborough, UK, from 15-18 April 2019, by Wael Bahsoun and Brian Winn.
Lecturers are J. F. Alves, S. Crovisier, I. Melbourne and tutorials are provided by M. Ruziboev. On the afternoon of 17 April, there will be a one day ergodic theory meeting; speakers are: H. Koivusalo, A. Pohl, M. Pollicott.
Financial support to cover local expenses (accommodation and meals) is available for 40 PhD students/Postdocs.

PhD position in Mathematical Physics (218498) The research group, Dynamical Systems, Geometry and Mathematical Physics, is part of the Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the university.
The research activities of the group cover a broad and diverse spectrum of subjects in the fields of fundamental, applied and computational dynamical systems theory, classical, statistical and quantum systems and their interfaces in the light of dynamics, and theoretical and applied aspects of geometry with many connections to dynamical systems theory.

The Department of Mathematics of Università di Bologna has opened a call for two 1-year postdoctoral positions denominated “Starting postdoctoral position in Mathematics and Applications in Sciences, Social Sciences and Engineering”.
The positions are open to all candidates who hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Economics, with a preference for applicants who have obtained their Ph.D.’s in recent years. It is an “open” position in that all research areas that are currently represented in the Department will be considered (see the announcement for a list of them).
